General Job Description:

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for a wide range of human resources (HR) tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and compensation and benefits.Work with employees at all levels of the organization to ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and that employees are supported and engaged.

Job Responsibilities amp; Duties:

  • Source and qualify candidates using a variety of methods, including online job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' skills and qualifications.
  • Manage the selection process, including making job offers and negotiating salaries and benefits packages.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including completing paperwork and providing them with information about the company and its culture.
  • Address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR-related issues, such as employee relations, compensation and benefits, and performance management.
  • Mediate conflicts and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Promote a culture of fairness and inclusivity by developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct policy training for employees and managers to ensure that everyone is aware of and understands the company's HR policies.
  • Support performance appraisal processes by assisting managers in setting performance goals and providing feedback to employees.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed to help employees meet their performance goals.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and files, including employee contact information, job descriptions, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resource role, with a focus on generalist duties.
  • Strong understanding of HR principle, labor laws, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with the ability to identify and develop solutions to complex HR issues.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems, with ability to use them automate HR processes and improve efficiency.
