Requirements

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Thai Team as a Qualitative Trainee Research Executive. Our specialist qualitative team collaborate on projects to lend qualitative weight to projects at all stages usually involving writing proposals, project management, conducting fieldwork and writing reports. Fieldwork could take place both nationally and overseas, so linguistic and fluency in English is essential.

This role will be responsible for assisting with the execution of proposal writing, managing projects including performing some admin tasks, fieldwork, moderation and helping with the interpretation of information and report writing. You will assist senior qualitative managers and directors to ensure that the research design, analysis and interpretation of results fulfil clients’ needs.

Trainee Research Executives get the opportunity to work across a number of well-known international brands helping to manage projects across all stages of the project cycle working within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working within and across teams, with all members of staff as required, for a variety of clients
  • Conducting in-depth interviews, moderating online communities and assisting in running focus groups, with a possibility to conduct a focus group afterwards, training will be provided for this.
  • Helping the team design research methods and writing proposals, screeners, discussion guides and supporting field materials.
  • Producing qualitative output and assisting in initiatives to improve the visual aspects of MMR output generally.
  • Assisting with project management and briefing colleagues from other departments/suppliers on all aspects of projects, to ensure accurate and timely execution of the research. Drawing up schedules for all aspects of each project and ensuring that they are issued and agreed by all relevant personnel, notifying people immediately of any changes.
  • Liaising with domestic or international agencies and attending fieldwork as appropriate
  • Analysing qualitative data, providing interpretation and recommendations for discussion with a manager in story meetings

You know you’re right for the role if

  • Have a degree (or higher) in a social science, psychology, or even sensory/food science-related or analytical discipline or similar experience/qualifications
  • Ideally, you’ll possess some relevant work experience, industrial placement experience would also be beneficial
  • Have strong organisational, time management and self-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an engaging and approachable manner required
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin both verbally and written
  • Have a good team-work mindset and enjoying discussing with others as well as listening and reading skill
  • Experience within sensory or FMCG beneficial
