About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plant Tissue Culture Specialist with expertise in Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The candidate will develop, optimize, and execute tissue culture protocols and genetic transformation strategies for various plant species to support research in plant biotechnology and genetic engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain in vitro plant tissue cultures, including callus induction, organogenesis, and somatic embryogenesis.
- Perform Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation of model and/or crop plants.
- Regenerate transgenic plants and conduct molecular screening (PCR, qPCR, GUS/GFP assays).
- Maintain sterile culture conditions and manage growth room/greenhouse facilities for explant propagation and plant recovery.
- Document protocols, maintain accurate lab records, and contribute to project reports and data analysis.
- Ensure adherence to biosafety, GMO handling, and institutional regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate clearly in English, follow instructions accurately, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Requirements & Skills
- Master's or PhD in Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in plant tissue culture and Agrobacterium-based transformation.
- Proficiency with model plants (e.g., Arabidopsis, tobacco) and/or monocot species (e.g., Monstera).
- Strong knowledge of transformation vectors, selectable markers, and plant regeneration protocols.
- Experience with molecular screening techniques for transgene integration and expression (PCR, qPCR, reporter assays).
- Ability to troubleshoot contamination, low transformation rates, and regeneration issues.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
