Job Description
- Lead and mentor a team of testers allocated to a client-funded or research & development project.
- Manage the testing effort and/or team to plan, construct and execute release tests.
- Apply testing methodologies, theories, and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
- Apply business and functional knowledge to meet the teamsβ overall test purposes.
- Identify test improvement opportunities within the existing systems and associated processes, test procedures and methods.
- Ensure defects are entered correctly, controlled, and managed as effectively as possible through the development and defect life cycle.
- Accountable for an end-to-end view of testing activities, risks and issues, scope, and coverage
- Implement automation and regression testing as required.
- Ensure adherence to testing methodologies and QA principles set across the organization, achieved through the usage of manual and automated testing tools for the consistent delivery of quality software.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement in the testing and development activities.
Requirements & Skills
- 7+ years in QA with 2+ years leading squads; strong ownership of planning and prioritization.
- Fundamental of test automation: Know how to apply test automation to reduce the manual testing effort.
- Testing skill: Capable of testing on mobile device as well as backend testing
- Able to define regression, functional, and smoke test strategy including converting them to automated testing.
- Good command in English (verbal & written) for cross-functional communication.
- People leadership: task delegation, risk management, coaching/mentoring, and driving accountability
