Job Description
New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is an international organization that supports clean energy entrepreneurs with funds, business acceleration and access to networks. We operate programs in the USA, China, India, Uganda, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines.
New Energy Nexus started in Southeast Asia to build an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address this regional energy growth and the climate change situation. New Energy Nexus launched its Thailand program in 2017. We support energy entrepreneurs to create new innovative energy startups that will help to build the nation’s clean energy economy.
The incoming Energy Entrepreneurship Intern is driven by a passion for the New Energy Nexus mission, and is entrepreneurial in spirit and mindset. He/she is passionate about advocating clean energy and believe startups can be a catalyst for change and growth in the energy sector. The candidate has project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Experience in the renewable energy field is key.
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and is able to connect and engage with all stakeholders at varying levels. He/she is proactive, forward-thinking, and able to anticipate issues/needs and have a collaborative approach and able to work across teams and functions to achieve success. The role requires the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Engage with universities and other supporting organizations to run the clean energy bootcamp and climate solution workshop across Thailand.
- Marketing and outreach for events and activities via various communication channels and direct emails / messages. The events include, for example, demo day, bootcamps, meet-up and call for application.
- Social media management - creating content about the Thailand program activities to engage users. Minimum 2 posts per week average.
- Maintain amp; update the Nexus Thailand webpage with new events / registration and updates
- Communicate with alumni teams, keeping them up-to-date about opportunities for them in the New Energy Nexus network, as well as fielding their requests for support.
- Support the team with fundraising initiatives, preparing document and meeting arrangements
Requirements
- Knowledge about climate change, clean energy, or sustainable development goals
- Passionate about climate solutions and clean energy innovation
- Passionate in supporting clean energy entrepreneurs- Entrepreneurial mindset and fast-paced working
- Excellent in multi-tasking
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Fluency in English and Thai
- Experience in graphic design or content writing will be advantaged
- 20 - 40 hours per week commitment
- 4 - 6 months internship commitment required
