We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Resort Manager to join our team at Napasai, a Belmond Hotel, Koh Samui, Thailand.

The Resort Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is a key member of the hotel's management team.


Key Responsibilities

Activities:

      • Oversee the daily operations of the following departments and provide input to the strategic direction: Technical Services, Front of House, House Keeping, Guest Relations, Spa, Sports amp; Recreations.
        • It is important for the Resort Manager to be involved in all aspects of the hotel operations.
        • Guide employees to work as a well-functioning team, able to set examples and foster inter-departmental relationships.
        • In the absence of the General Manager, he/she will be responsible for the hotel's overall operation.
        • Contribute to the overall Guest and Employee Experience, Sales, and EBIT.
        • To ensure an efficient operation with a clear view of Excellence.
        • To work with the Guest Relations team to provide a seamless Guest experience in the resort.
        • To delegate and control where necessary with the different departments.
        • To monitor and report any defects to the hotel which may require maintenance work.
        • To be a custodian of the LQA amp; Behaviour standards within his/hers departments and work on the action plans with the department heads.
        • To take responsibility for the assigned departments' budget lines and payroll.
        • To work towards achieving the business and departmental objectives.
        • To maximise all sales opportunities to ensure budgeted hotel profitability is achieved or exceeded.
        • To promote and role model Belmond Behaviours and Leadership competencies.
        • To engage with guest complaints and respond promptly and proactively.
        • To be a visible presence for guests and employees alike.
General Duties: To be fully conversant and comply with Belmond's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • First-time Resort Manager operational experience at 5-star Luxury Hotels in Asia.
  • Must have an eye for luxury.
  • Having experience background in the departments, he/she will overlook Rooms Division with an understanding of Engineer and HSSE.
  • Have experience working in a target-driven role.

Education:

  • University Bachelor’s Degree

Languages:

  • Fluent (written, spoken and read) in English and French or German
