Overview of the Role

Rystad Energy is seeking a proven Business Development Manager with strong track record of subscription sales to drive sales and business development as well as retain and grow the firm’s client accounts in Thailand. The Business Development Manager will report to Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell Rystad Energy’s research offerings to Energy Companies, Government Institutions, Industrial Players, and Financial Services firms in Thailand.
  • Develop and execute product-driven and segment-focused client acquisition strategy
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet sales targets
  • Engage with, present and pitch to prospective clients (prospects) daily, while adopting a consultative and solution-oriented approach in order to win new business
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams Marketing, Product, Research, Client Training and Services to drive engagement with prospects and close deals
  • On successfully bringing in new clients, manage the client accounts to ensure renewal of services as well as growth through upselling/cross-selling of offerings
  • Constantly promote the Rystad Energy brand and values externally in all interactions with prospects and clients

Experience and Qualifications

  • Candidate must be able to work in Thailand existing Employment Pass holder; Permanent Resident; Citizen
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Between 5 to 7 years of B2B Sales/Business Development experience within the Energy industry (Oil amp; Gas or Renewables)
  • Specifically, experience selling business or market intelligence services within the Energy industry (Oil amp; Gas or Renewables)
  • Proven track record of surpassing sales revenue targets through a combination of new business development and strategic account management
  • Solid network of relationships within the Energy industry (Oil amp; Gas or Renewables) in Thailand that can be leveraged for new business generation
  • Ability to engage with individuals across all levels within target organizations, including Senior Management/C-Suite
  • Experience in internal stakeholder management i.e., collaboration with cross-functional teams internally to drive prospect/client engagement externally
  • Fluency in Thai will be a huge advantage
